Last week was the end of the first 20 years of business for Brindlee Mountain Fire Apparatus.
When the founder, James Wessell, took the stage on our night of celebration he very quickly got to the two most important accomplishments of the first 20 years
- the joy of seeing an employee make a decision to follow Christ and
- the love that is displayed daily by the employees to each other and to anyone they come in contact with.
For some in business, it may seem odd that the owner of a company would elevate these two items were elevated to the top of the accomplishments, but not if you know the Brindlee story.
The idea for Brindlee was birthed out of our founder's desire to see people treated with respect and that desire is founded in his passion for reflecting Christ.
It continues to be the heart of Brindlee Mountain to see fire departments have the best equipment their funds can afford to serve their communities. And that Brindlee does this by striving for excellence in every aspect of buying, selling, and fixing used fire trucks.
The first 20 years have passed and 'just like that' the next 20 has begun.
We will continue to look back at the growth and accomplishments of the company and its people, giving thanks to God for both.
