Built in the early post-WWII years as an amusement park ride, it combines a Crosley pickup truck with a long custom built fifth wheel "hook and ladder" trailer with benches down both sides and safety restraints shaped like fire fighters' ladders. Built by Overland Amusements in Lexington, Massachusetts, they were marketed to amusement parks, tourist attractions and carnivals,, or parties, cruises around the neighbor, cause it street legal,,, It will carry up to 20 kids or adults and is perfect for parades, bithday parties or a car museum. this one is from California with original crosley motor and tranny, one older paint and has not been restored, but is perfect for parties!
Apparatus Information
With under 25,000 miles, this used fire truck has been very well taken care of over its life. There should be plenty of life left to respond to emergency calls in your own fire department with this piece of emergency equipment.
This old fire truck would make a good collector's rig, or parade piece for a Volunteer Fire Department, or a Fire Fighter who just wants their own rig to make local appearances.
