Description

This 1994 Spartan/New Lexington Engine served our department for many years as our primary residential response engine. Its shorter wheelbase made it well suited for residential neighborhoods and tighter access areas, and it proved to be a dependable piece of apparatus throughout most of its service life. We are replacing it because our fleet has been modernized with a newer commercial engine, and this apparatus has been out of frontline service for approximately six years. We hope it can serve another department, training program, or restoration project.

Recent Maintenance

The apparatus has been stored indoors in our firehouse since being removed from frontline service approximately six years ago. Because it has been out of service, it has not received routine maintenance during that time, and maintenance records are not available. The dates of the last pump test and annual inspection are unknown. To our knowledge, no major repairs have been performed within the past six years, and there have been no known accidents during our ownership. The truck remains drivable, and all emergency lighting is operational. Tires are in good condition, the cab interior is in good condition, and the stainless-steel body remains in good overall condition with only typical surface rust present on the undercarriage.
