BODY DESCRIPTION

The PolyToughTM body shall be made of virgin copolymer plastic, a unique material that is impact

resistant, lightweight, impervious to chemicals and corrosion, and resistant to fluctuations in

temperature. The body shall be extrusion welded throughout, the strongest method of joining

copolymer material. The tank, pump and plumbing shall be bolted separately into the body as a

removable firefighting skid.

BODY SPECIFICATIONS

One (1) copolymer plastic body. Material thickness shall include .375”, .5”, and .75” copolymer sheet

stock, gloss white in color.

• Body measurements shall be determined after further review and engineering approval by

customer.

o Body measurements will be approximately 90”L x 80”W x 56.75”H.

• Three (3) slam doors, all shall open upward

o One (1) driver side, opening upward

o One (1) passenger side

o One (1) rear compartment

• Aluminum fender trim shall be installed on the body wheel well edges.

• All compartments shall feature sweep-out floors and passive ventilation.

• Internal shelving and compartmentation as per print.

• Two (2) removable copolymer access panels—one passenger side, one driver side—shall be

located in each rear compartment in order to conceal wiring.

• Steel rear step/bumper:

o Seven (7) .5” LED marker lights shall be integrated into the bumper.

PAINT AND STRIPING

• Paint shall be a single color, color matched to the chassis, using PPG Deltron®DBC or equivalent.

Paint shall come with the same warranty as the body (see warranty).

• 3M Diamond grade chevron striping rear vertical compartment walls.

ELECTRICAL – BODY

Tomar Lighting Package

Rear DOT Lighting:

• Two (2) Whelen M6 LED stop/tail red.

• Two (2) Whelen M6 LED amber turn.

• Two (2) Whelen M6 LED white back-up/reverse.

• Two (2) Whelen M6 3-stack vertical light bezels, chrome

Rear Emergency Lighting:

• Two (2) Whelen M6V dual-color lightheads

o Red/white (with additional white down facing scene)

Body Interior:

• LED lighting, interior of body

Lighting bezel color to be chrome.

All wiring features quick-disconnect plugs at termination points.

SUBFRAME AND HITCH MOUNTS

• The body shall be mounted using a powdercoated steel using a four-point system.

o Subframe shall use .25” high density rubber to isolate the body from the metal

subframe.

WARRANTY

• Limited Lifetime Warranty

o All bodies are covered by a Limited Lifetime warranty.

o Warrants the body to be free from rust and corrosion for the life of the vehicle.

o Warrants the body to be free from defects in material and workmanship for the life of

the vehicle.

o Warranty excludes chassis.

o Warranty excludes components provided by other manufacturers. Each component

shall retain the warranty of their respective manufacturers.

o Warranty does not cover instances of damage due to abuse, road damage, accidents or
