Apparatus Information
With an on-board foam system, your fire fighting will use the water more efficiently. Adding foam to a fire can help reduce the total water needed to extinguish the fire, and reduce the damage that can be caused to property by excess water usage on a fire scene.
Quality Manufacturing Inc. was an American fire apparatus manufacturer located in Talladega, Alabama.
Starting in 1962, Quality was a heavy equipment repair and refurbishing business. They began rehabbing military fire equipment.
In 1976, Quality started building new pumpers, tankers and other fire trucks on commercial chassis. Within years, Quality also built trucks on custom chassis and ladders trucks with Aerial Innovations and RK Aerials.
In 1997, the company was purchased by Spartan Motors Inc. of Charlotte, Michigan. Spartan also acquired Luverne Fire Apparatus of Brandon, South Dakota. Between 1997 and 2003, Quality and Luverne continued to sell trucks independently, each serving a different geographical area.
In 2003, Spartan Motors merged Quality and Luverne into Crimson Fire, a new subsidiary company. In 2012, Crimson Fire was renamed Spartan Emergency Rescue Vehicles or Spartan ERV. The Talladega plant continues production today. http://fire.wikia.com/wiki/Quality_Manufacturing_Inc.
With under 50,000 miles, this piece of apparatus has lots of life remaining to respond to emergencies in your department.
